I've made my decision: I don't like it. The paper board pisses me off because it's not Heroscape, and the gameplay pisses me off because it's not Heroscape.

I have a game design thats been swirling in my head for a couple of years, its not Heroscape, but in many ways, the essence of it is basically Heroscape. In many ways, the concept of heroscape has been in my head since I started gaming. But someone already actually designed it.

I played it for the first time yesterday. First game took awhile. God for suck a simple game the rules fucking blow. Second game went much faster.
Maybe its because melee systems aren't really my thing, but overall I felt underwhelmed. Might try the more streamlined version of Mage Wars now, this game seemed kind of bland . Limited number of spells and basically two types of creatures per player unless you mix and match factions.
I get that its more geared towards mainstream gamers than Ameritrashers like us. Doesn't mean I have to like it because it feels watered down. It does have the virtue of being pretty quick once you get the hang of it.

There was talk of this dying, looks like there's at least something else in the pipeline.
