I stand corrected.

I was just trying to say that if you can sell people on recycling, you can sell a super fun game to people who like that kind of game pretty easily. You're an enthusiastic and persuasive guy. I never really thought it, but I've really enjoyed selling the scape stuff. It seems like all it really takes is having strong knowledge of your product and excellent communication skills. (Although it also really helps to be selling a good product).

I look forward to it. I know that you wouldn't be making this game unless you were truly passionate about it. I also remember the game you liked prior to Heroscape... Was there any influence there?

It was not influenced by Heroscape even the slightest. To be honest, I didn't really get influenced by any game directly on this one, aside from one, and only in the most abstract of ways. It shares a mechanic with a game I didn't play until afterward, but it's only a passing similarity anyhow.

I shit you not, this is a completely "new" design in a lot of ways. Or at least, I've never seen or played anything like it. I wanted to make something nobody has played before.

One of my biggest bitches about games are that they're all so derivative. Nothing really new.

I have leaked information that among its innovations are a unique combat resolution mechanic that involves drawing "chance cubes" from a leather pouch warmed up to human body temperature.

The game it shares a mechanic with is Grade Up to Elite Cow. It's the bull semen thing.

Jexik: Selling is easy if you're committed to the product, on an emotional or existential level and if you believe in the product and it's producer.

That's a rumor. To be more accurate and dispel rumors, I will leak this: the game doesn't contain cubes but it is absolutely best when cubes are involved, if you're a fan: cubes of ice in a glass of Rabbit Hole bourbon.

It is my contention that the only thing bourbon should mix with is saliva and liver enzymes, but if you are a cube guy, I will not include in the credits page a rule prohibiting bourbon on the rocks.

Congrats! That's really awesome! Now with your experience, does that mean you'll help me write up my dream game of Necromunda meets Space Hulk?

I was talking about Attacktix. But yes, your game is probably something new. I look forward to it.

Considering the fact that I wrote or re-wrote the entire combat rules section of the WreckAge rules, that wouldn't be a hard thing ;)
