Nostalgia, yes. But this is great and they're just doing the one release, nothing else. Love WEG version of star wars, even though it's not modern at all. I remember it capturing star wars feel quite nice years ago... I tracked down a good condition revised and expanded edition a few years ago so I PROBABLY won't buy this....

This is a REALLY cool release. That RPG was actually very important- a lot of what SW is today actually comes from it and not Lucas/Lucasfilm. WEG filled in A LOT of blanks. Like alien race names. Before this, Greedo was just a hapless, murdered alien. WEG called him a Rodian.

Lucasfilm actually started using the RPG as a reference in developing the EU and a lot that stuff is now canon, even after the EUpocalypse.

I'll be reviewing it at MM...I think that the game is really good but it's been 25 years since I played it...I don't think the game really matters, this is more of a historical release.

Now if they'd just partner up with WEG to reprint Assault on Hoth...

I'm not sure which edition of this it is. Probably the original 1987 edition. Definitely a cool release.

I found a second edition core book and the Star Wars sourcebook at a Half Price Books for like 10 bucks. Still haven't played, but I've loved perusing both books.

I have zero desire to own or play this but I am *SO* happy that it exists.

I paid for ReUp SWRPG through Lulu a while back and it's a really good read. Hoping FFG bringing WEG SW back into the spotlight generates enough interest that I'll get to play the game instead of read it.

I might buy this anyway; I want for it to sell well enough that FFG makes new D6 SWRPG material a thing.

I'm always glad old games are brought back on a new, slighty revised release. Were it on me all games would be. All of them.
