Actually, here's the entire map. If I remember right, it was held by five 2.5' X 6' tables.

I'm pretty sure I legitimately have close to that much terrain displayed on the tables, but that would take my entire collection. Almost. I think I have more tundra, lava, and jungle, unless of course those are what's being held behind in more totes.

$20k!? Hmmmm methinks I need to sell if I could even get half that.

That is a lot of what was left off the table. He didn't want to make any one environmental element too dominant.

I believe he told me $20k, but possibly I've mentally inflated that. It was a staggeringly high number when he told me it, though. Maybe $17k? He has at least a few copies of everything that was ever released. Some of it wouldn't be worth a whole lot. Some of it would fetch a very pretty penny.

Resale prices may have fallen since that $20K estimate. Looking at prices on BGG right now, nothing stands out as especially valuable except Rise of the Valkyrie, and even there you would need to sell 3 sets to come up with more than $1,000.

Rise of the Valkyrie isnt fetching 300 dollars a pop, not even 3 sets of RotV would fetch 300 dollars. Maybe you just spotted the one listing that actually contains a shit lot of extra stuff

is not a cheap reseller but a good idea of the kind of upper level of prices. you can rack up money quickly with some of the figures, if youre patient enough to sell piecemeal. But I know a french guy who buys big batches at 1 and 2 grand a time, no bother, but I'm not sure how many people would pony up 20 grand even if it were market value.

You should just pick out the most valuable figures and whack them on ebay in batches aiming to get several hundred at a time. I think you know that nobody really needs that fucking ridiculous pile of stuff in their garage, no matter how awesome we might pretend it to be, it has nothing to do with any real experience of the game AT ALL.

I hope you can turn your stash into a nice windfall, you can keep more than enough for any reasonable person to hang on to and enjoy the game with your friends and family and pass on to your kids and grandkids.

The game can drag on a map made out of a couple of master sets. I cannot imagine how boring it would be to play on a map the size of a tennis court. Heroscape is great, but no game is that great.

There are rule changes for larger games.

All this talk of Heroscape lead to two matches of AOTP last night with the wife. She is now against selling any part of Heroscape and is looking for more. Now to find a new version of Project 500 and see what new objects there are to 3d print for it.

Edit:
A guy on Heroscapers now owns the Trademark name of Heroscape, though not any part of the actual game.
