Just wanted to call attention to this one. I have it on Ios, but it is available on Steam, too, and I think Android.
This is probably one of the best, if not the best, digital boardgame I've played. Tight design, with easy-to-learn, transparent rules. It has mechanics worker placement, exploration, boardcontrol and subterfuge that feel familiar, but they all work together perfectly in a wheel-within-wheel kind of way. There're no extraneous elements here, it is really really well-edited and playtested (I've played it about 40 times now against other humans, and never felt there was any weird stuff, cheap tricks or uber strategy)
It is absolutely 100% a boardgame, but with an element of secrecy that would have been too unwieldy for a non-digital platform.
And playing it against a human opponent is super-tense. Even when a player leading on points or your criminal empire dominates most of the board, there're usually ways of toppling them.
Not sure yet if it will replace Twilight Struggle as my favorite 2-player digital game, but is certainly a strong contender to do so.

I’ve been playing this a lot too- it’s awesome, and it is truly a digital board game. It has a very cool, very compelling setting and some pretty original ideas going on. It would be tough to handle IRL with physical elements. My only complaint is that it’s been too easy.

Meteorfall is worth looking at too.

I've been playing it awhile on Steam. I am not a fan of the traditional worker placement game type, but this has found a pleasant niche in my brain.

MB, it sounds like you need to play against humans. The AI is a pushover.

Agreed, Jake.
Barnes, it's like saying that Catan is too easy.
The mechanics of Antihero have an amazing level of polish, way more than that of an average boardgame. I am seriously surprised that I still have not come across any balancing issues or an uber strategy combo. There're several paths to victory, they're all viable, and it all depends on the layout of the map (which is, except for couple locations, random for every game) and your opponent's actions. There's stuff you can miss at first - such as burgling regular buildings or going to charity - which seems like a waste of time, but in fact can be really useful.
The matches are so cutthroat and tense it is amazing.
