Movie trailers in front of "Cloverfield"

Iron Man - I'd seen the shorter version of this before, but seeing the whole thing was great. Downey playing an alcoholic will be a real stretch (ha) but he seems to have nailed Tony's arrogance. Man, Tony is a real douchebag, eh? Looks like a fun popcorn romp.

Hellboy 2 - Didn't even realize this was the Hellboy trailer at first, as I hadn't seen any info or footage yet. Looks fantastic. The first Hellboy was a really pleasant surprise to me so I'm hoping for more of the same. Pearlman just make that role his. Geekboy comic tomfoolery at its finest.

The Ruins - ugh...looks like a generic crappy horror film with vapid teens who dare to go on vacation to remote South American location and encounter EVIL. I really hate these movies.

Trek - It didn't give away much, but man, I gotta admit getting a few chills at seeing the Enterprise on screen again, and knowing we're going to see/hear Nimoy in the Spock role one final time. Abrams is on fire, I think he's going to nail this one.

3 out of 4...that's a pretty good success rate. Seems like they knew their audience for this one. I thought they might tack the Batman trailer on just for the hell of it, but no go.
