They do show the models on more traditional terrain, so maybe you can use both? Would make it appeal to the board game market looking for an expandable Space Hulk and their traditional minis market who already have $100s in terrain.
Wonder what the price will be like.

As well as the underhive style of play covered by the boxed set, there will also be ways to play Necromunda with the multi-level skirmishes that defined the classic version of the game. These work great on tables using the Sector Mechanicus terrain sets released earlier this year (great news for anyone who built a Shadow War Armageddon board).

The models are looking pretty good so far too. I'm assuming they are monopose like Blood Bowl?

The models are JUST FUCKING RIDICULOUS. Some of the best stuff Citadel has done. Love that they kept the 80s hardcore style.
Welp, let's pour ANOTHER one out for Shadow War, I suppose!

Let's guess the price point!
The closest thing to this in terms of content is Bloodbowl, which is $100. Still a little bit above my budget.

I am thinking $150 on this, on par with ForgeWorld's larger games.

I plan on passing on nu-Necro, but I'm intrigued by this. A new way to play is a needed breath of fresh air and is sort of aligned with their multiple ways to play their two core games. I don't think there's been a 'specialist game' packaged like this. Very well done. I'm more intrigued by this than I am had they released the same sort of deal they did back in the mid 90s. Going with an all female side in the core box is also a very progressive move for GW.
Dudes, a scenario that has your 3d terrain including a few portals into the underground sewer on a side board. Awesome...
Now, what's the deal with AoS and tentacles, then? For a long team the leaked image, and the tentacles on the Silver Tower aelf's base, and the tentacle on that Overlord painting had us all thinking sea/cthulhu aelves. But nope, here's that tentacle as sewer dressing not an AoS piece. What does it mean?!
