Just wanted to add that Melissa indeed is a great lady and a wonderful gaming ambassador. Her husband Fraser is a hoot too (assuming you guys are still together as I have not seen either of you for a while).
I'd love to make it down to Australia again - a great gaming crowd can be found.
Melissa: pm/email me and maybe I can try to get some games sent down to you via Good Games for the library. No promises, but I'd try.
I'll second all of Shellie's suggestions particularly Spartacus which is a great crowd pleaser...really involving and fun with a good group. Police Precinct is also a LOT of fun for a co-op (best co-op in my collection) and highly playable right out of the gate.
Boss Monster is a good fast light filler card game. The retro pixellated artwork on the cards is charming. Best card game is Phil Ecklund's Pax Porfiriana. This has a bit of a learning curve but not as much as you'd think. With two players it's like chess, but it really shines with more (plays up to five).
Robinson Crusoe is another good co-op. It's more of a Euro, but it's a pretty good one with random elements to keep it from being too analytical.
Finally I can't recommend Duel of Ages II highly enough. This is a wonderfully thematic and crazy game that combines all the best elements of dudes on a map, combat and adventure. It's completely off the wall and a lot of fun.
If any Aussies FATties (see, I got it right this time) are going to be at CanCon this weekend, come and say hi - I'll be there Saturday, but the rest of the team will be there right through the weekend.
