Quality: Looking for a solid quality director to keep manufacturing and our vendor base on the right track. Manage our quality team of 3 here in NJ, and six in Asia. Plus manage our internal ISO9000 system.

I used to be in quality, and set up 9000 and 14000, many many moons ago. What a nightmare job. It looks like you're at an OEM for electronics...if you have electronics assembly there we should be talking. I've been in that world for 20 years. I can find you that guy, no problem.

You're in luck as I did those myself (well my partner on the Gold Bond project did the bottles)

I'm not great on resumes but I'm pretty awesome with cover letters so I'd be more than willing to help people out in that department.

I also work in music as well, I'm working on a soundtrack for The Heart Outright now and music for iPad apps, nothing big but I have some connections. So feel free to hit me up if you think there's something I can help with.

I start work with JonJacob next week. It's a total career shift as I've spent my entire life in the creative/arts field. At this stage in my life, I'm kinda burnt out so this could be a welcome change.

Man, me too. I finally finished putting together my academic job packet. I've had pretty good luck recently so I'm hoping my newly boosted CV will get some bites. I need to get the fuck out of here.

Midlife career change is some scary shit boys and girls no doubt.

I've been working as a temp at the phone company since October. Under the stress of knowing that job was soon coming to an end. Then, Friday before last they made an offer to hire me full time. I was so damn relieved I about broke out in tears...I didn't....but I almost did.

Anyway, there's a bunch of us in this boat. So hang tuff guys and gals...it'll all work out in the end.

If there's any advice I can give all of you, it's that you should NEVER undervalue yourself. You're all awesome. If you can sit and learn to play a supercomplex war game or High Frontier, you can learn to do just about anything.

If there's anything this world needs more of, it's people that can learn. We're the last of a generation - we were taught to learn, as well as the content, but now the focus is much more on the content and not "how to learn effectively." I weep for this country when I think about how few people there are in their 20's these days who can form a cogent sentence let alone have any sort of historical reference for things.

It will be nice for me as I'm the only artist in the place.... but welcome aboard Doc.. the job may be shit at times but the people are good and there's games happening at lunch. I also managed to get you an easy circuit.

We'd ideally like to move to the Pacific Northwest, West or Mountain West. But we'd also move a lot of other places that aren't in the south or large city... I'll probably be on the market fairly broadly next year. I'll probably even apply international, since my work plays pretty well across countries. Who fucking knows what will happen, though, when every job opening has 75-200 applications.

Sometimes I wish I had a regular job where I could just pick a region or town first and job second rather than just let the job dictate exactly where I live. Living in Lubbock is not so great.

Temp-to-perm is so sweet. Awesome job, repo!
