Are there any Black Friday deals that matter?

I am currently using a phone with 8gb of ram that can hold about three apps. I'm tempted to get the Honor 6x for $144, which is a good deal. I've used the 5x and like it. Are there any board games that actually work on a 5.5" phone?

HOWEVER, if I purchase a Kindle Fire 10 HD for $100, I could play some of the Android boardgames I've already purchased, like Tigris and Euphrates, Twilight Struggle, Steam, and others. At the moment, the Google Play store can be installed easily.

But when I had an iPad from work that lost the will to live after about five years, I actually didn't play those games that much. Maybe tablets are dead.

Or I could buy that Gretsch Parlor guitar. However, I don't play the guitar I have that much, and I could still put some decent strings and install a pickup and have some fun. Plus, it would make Superfly McPete my friend, so that would be cool, because it would literally double my collection of friends. Also, Pete talks and doesn't have to be taken to the taxidermist every few years.

The other possibility is I could start reading all these Zen therapy books I've been buying and quit trying to fill the emptiness of modern life with more stuff that will only make me happy for a week or two.

Have you seen any Black Friday sales that look good?

It's the best time of year for buying console flash carts!

I'll say I was unhappy with my Kindle Fire. The battery life SUCKS.

We bought one about a year ago, but my kids mostly use it. Last night I was looking at my Flickr photos on it, and I was impressed by how good they looked on the big screen.

Bought Wolfenstein 2 with the season pass for half off ($39.99) on PSN. That’s a good one.

I have one from a couple generations ago, and I need to turn off the wifi to keep the battery life at a reasonable level. I like it well enough as a reader though. I just don't use it for other tablet duties that aren't e-reader related.

Wierd. The one I got the previous black friday lasts quite a while. I don't game on it (anymore) though, just web stuff. I only have to charge it once overnight. My eyes can't take more than two hours at a stretch so there's that.

Can't stand reading on a back-lit LCD. Paperwhite all the way.

I set it to white text on a black screen, and that helped a lot.

I use my Kindle Fire to play Elder Sign Omens, but a lot of other ones are available.
