Wishlisting PICTOMANIA, the Vlaada Chvatil "Draw Sumpin" game. Looks like a winner in our house because some folks can't draw for shit. In this game they can draw all shitty and still be in it as long as they guess well.

Just bought a few more wargames, I think I'm done with older games now or at least am running out of shelf space until I offload some losers.

Picked up the following used:
Unhappy King Charles
Wellington - with full laminated map and player aids
Warriors of God - per Sag's recommendation
Prussia's Defiant Stand
No Peace Without Spain

That reprint of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective seems to have finally hit some stores. I ordered it from Walmart.com of all places. Game came in yesterday. Can't wait to try it out.

Due to the way it scales, Power Grid plays well with three. And it has a million expansion boards if your group takes a shine to it.

Steam and Age of Industry also have 3-player expansion boards available.

If you want to go expansion-free, there's always Friedrich, Evolution, Expedition, Hansa, Ra, and Small World. They all play fine with three.

I'm actually a huge Steam fan (According to BGG I've played it more than anyone else), sadly my group doesn't like it as much as I do because it's a very tough game at first. I actually love economic games and I've been eyeing Age of Industry, but I think I have too many of them as it is. (Well, were it on me, I would not play anything else...)

If you want to go expansion-free, there's always Friedrich, Evolution, Expedition, Hansa, Ra, and Small World. They all play fine with three.

Thanks for the suggestions! Here are some thoughts:

- I didn't like Small World, and neither did one of the other guys. We liked the mechanics but the +1/-1 races are very dull.
- Ra is an auction game and I would rather get Chicago Express to the table if I want auctions.
- Hansa, Evolution and Expendition don't appeal to me.
- I actually want to try out Maria, because it's such a good fit yet I won't know if we'll like it until we try it.

Thanks anyways mate :)

I bought the DC Comics Deckbuilding Game: Crisis 1 Expansion at my FLGS and they also had Elder Sign: Gates of Arkham on clearance for $14 so I picked that up as well.

Whatever you do, don't play the Crisis 1 expansion with more than 3 people. (The "all players must do X" cards don't work with 4+. Was this expansion even tested properly?) Also, we always play "one level down" to make it winnable. I.e., with 3 players we use the 4-player setup.

Gates of Arkham is fun. Enjoy.

Funagain has Fire in the Lake on their Spring Clearance sale for $48. I absolutely can't pass that up, especially since we just had a rollicking game of F:AT Andean Abyss.

Also bought the Merchants and Marauders expansion and some tiny Small World expansion to hit $80 shipping.

Once you play Luchador you'll be having a good year.
