I finished season two of Ash vs the Evil Dead. As I mentioned above, season two was the same kind of show as season one, only not as funny. But the season two finale was totally worth it. Funny, action-packed, gory, and unpredictable. Lots of physical humor, like Three Stooges with buckets of blood. The big bad was great fun, because the actor had such an expressive face. At any given moment, he looked handsome, ugly, dignified, foolish, sinister, or friendly, and he ran the whole spectrum in this episode.

Hex Sinister wrote: Stranger Things 2 was disappointing at best. It started off alright but gradually nosedived into that punk gang filler episode. That was pure trash, not in a good way either. From that point on I just wanted it to be over. I don't feel the series was very well thought out or executed. The good moments (and there are several) didn't make up for the rest. 2 stars.

Detectorists had one of the best series finales I've ever seen.

Limitless. I really like the show. Sadly, it got cancelled, so only one season.

Was the most recent season the last one? I didn't know that (I'm not caught up).

Mr. Robot's season 3 finale was intense and satisfying. Still dig this oddball.

I really liked it. For a while I thought I was seeing the SERIES finale, until the last scene...

Yeah, 3rd season is the last. Better to go out strong.

Watched ep 1 of season 1 of STRANGER THINGS.
wow, really good. Who’s Millie Bobby Brown ? Is she the sister or the girl that shows up in the diner. I liked the guy who played the cook there. Winona Ryder looks younger in this than she has in past things she’s been in.

Millie Bobbie Brown is the girl in the diner. The older sister is "Nancy", played by Natalia Dyer. The show is really good. Stay away from the Internet for a little bit, it's fun to watch.

The wife and I are watching S2 of "The Crown" on Netflix. I was not expecting to like that show as much as I did in S1.

There’s a couple of Arkham Horror references in Limitless

Two shows I've been watching:

Tales by Light on Netflix. This a show about photographers and each episode is sort of a mini-documentary about them taking a photo or several photos. Most are wildlife photographers but there was one about an "extreme" sports photographer, a war photographer. Anyway, the voice overs are sometimes interesting but mostly artists doing that arty blather where they try to sound transcendental but really just sound a bit blow-hardy. Naturally there are some environmentalists but the only one that annoyed me in a preachy way was the moron that said it's cool to show sharks "affection". Yup...they are like dogs he postulated. That sort of thinking is what got the "Grizzly Man" devoured.

Anyway, all that is beside the point as the real greatness of the show is the visuals. The cinematographer on this show is the real star because it all looks mind blowingly good. So I put it on and turn down the volume and just enjoy.

The second show is also on Netflix and it's The Last Kingdom based on the books by Bernard Cornwall. It's the story of England in the late 9th Century and the struggles between the Vikings and the Saxons for the control of England. The first season was really great though I think the season finale was a bit weak. Second season doesn't seem to be stacking up as well but I'll stick with it. The lead character is a bit John Snow without the emo pouty face crap. And Ubba the Viking was a terrifying individual.
