Vertical Numbering In Forum [fixed]

I'm going to thank your post to see how this new feature works.

IE8/XP SP3 and I have vertical page numbers for each thread making thread titles 1" tall in the recent discussions forum. I find it irritating as all hell.

I have no idea where my response in the what THREADS are u LOCKING thread went [it was there yesterday but suddenly I don't see it today; if I overlooked it, it's been run-over or ignored in favor of comments about new users being run-over or ignored in the previous threads...], so I'm posting a new thread on it to see if there's a solution to be had.

Running IE8 and XP SP3. When I look at the forums, I have vertical page numbers everywhere--inside threads and on the Recent Topics page.

To put it delicately: it's really fucking irritating. Every thread title is now 1" wide for absolutely no reason and there's a pile of dead space at the bottom of every post so I can have a 10" wide box with a number in the right corner stacked 4-high.

Am I missing a setting somewhere on my end to fix this or is this just a new "feature" I have to learn to live with?

It's not supposed to be this way. Uba's on the case.
