So I saw a copy of the 2011 revised Dragon Rage at my FLGS. I then noticed it was designed by Lewis Pulsipher, who has blogged here. Here's a review with pics:

a review

Apparently the components are good. This is the first time I've discovered an obscure game in a looooong time. It looks a bit like OGRE with fire breathing, villager-roasting, flying dragons.

It's pretty good. As far as a "siege" kind of game, it's u ique. One play only, pretty toasted, and trying to pull off a Sean Connery accent while speaking for the dragon,

I'll second Superfly. I've only played my copy once, but I really enjoyed it. I have a hard time getting 2-player sessions, and that has kept me from getting another shot at it. It can be tough to find at a decent price, so if you see a copy and are interested, grab it.

You're link doesn't work.

Haven't played my copy yet, but I'm glad I bought it when I had a chance. Seems like something that could get very expensive.

its a good game, comes with several scenarios that feel different, and also a system to create more scenarios. It does a good job of delivering its story and both sides are fun to play. Its pretty simple too, but perhaps a little to simple for me.

It sells slowly but steadily, so I will do all I can to keep it in print when the current print run will be sold out.
Game Salute now carries it in the US so retail stores can get it at a decent price.

... And Lewis Pulsipher is working on an expansion, but that's not for the near future.

Quick note: Noble Knight has two copies (ok one now, dammit!) in stock for 59.99. Gotta love their reasonable shipping to Canada.

Barnes' review link isn't working or I'd put it in this thread. Here is MattDP's. I guess I could have, I don't know, googled a little before starting this thread.

I'm trying to talk myself into buying this. If it were $27.95 I'd have pulled the trigger already.

Two fun facts:

1. I clicked on "my topics" for the first time. Why have I not done this in the last ten or so years?

2. I bought a new iPad. Not sure why, but if I didn't spend that $300 from selling textbooks I bought at the Lost and Found sale, it was going to get frittered away on vending machine snacks and junk. I have to say that Garageband is pretty good.

Yeah, it's nice and simple in many of the scenarios too IIRC. I sent it to somebody, don't remember who. Just wasn't getting played. The new version is cool because it has a whole bunch of different monsters.
