I've had the same dilemma on stuff in the past. Is it worth breaking it apart to make more money versus dumping it as a lot. I have gone both ways on this. I dumped Descent (1st Edition) and Arkham Horror as a single purchase because I did not want to deal with sorting it. I do not think it is a coincidence that FFG games are the ones I usually sell as a lot (so many components!). I have sold wargame expansions, Age of Steam, and Winsome games as broken apart sets as it was relatively easy to separate and added a fair chunk of change to the potential total.

I think Michael has the best read on this about lot price versus splitting it apart. They amount of stuff here is what makes it both overwhelming to the new buyer and possibly a lot of duplication for an existing owner.
