Ghost Stories, the new game from Repos which several folks around here have been salivating for, is going to be published in the U.S. this fall by Asmodee, per their website:

Okay, what's the scoop on it?

The concept of a boardgame about HK ghost story movies is awesome, but that sample artwork didn't have the right look. I am cautiously optimistic about this one.

Ghost Stories is an awesome co-op.

That said, it is not an AT game. It is more abstract than LotR, SOC, or Pandemic, IMO. Get it if you love meaty co-ops. Try before you buy if you just like the genre.

Gee Matt, where'd you get to play that one? The Teddybear's Picnic?

It sounds cool...it's definitely a theme that isn't represented enough in board gaming. It's disappointing to hear that it's abstract and I'm not really crazy about the artwork myself.

One of these days I'm going to write down my idea for a Wuxia adventure game a la THE PROPHECY.
