So I was thinking about playing Incursion this weekend and decided to see what the company, Grindhouse Games, had done since then. The answer is nothing. They seem to be completely gone. I recall they lost some money on the KS shipping and had a lot of stress from it so doubt they'd have reprinted anyways but this seems to confirm that Incursion isn't coming back in print ever. I'm really glad I bought the game while it was available. I'm not a GW fan so this game is my Space Hulk if I want to play Dudes In A Corridor. I checked eBay and not much even shows up there. Same with BGG as only one person in Australia selling the 2nd edition without any of the KS stuff. Back in the day people would call it a "grail game" but nobody really seeks out older games anymore. Everyone collects new releases now as far as I can tell. This was already on my forever shelf but now I'd have serious FOMO if I thought about selling it knowing I wouldn't be able to just buy it again later easily.

I would sell mine in a heartbeat. It's a very large, heavy toad.

2 reasons I'm not feeling FOMO: everything has flaws, and something better will come around. If not, I'll build it myself.

If I’m being honest, my FOMO is almost always related to money- something I want becoming unreasonably expensive. This applies to both not wanting this to happen and wanting this to happen.

The only game I have that I'm really thankful I have now that it's gone is Duel of Ages II, and maybe Jim Felli's games. Everything else is mainstream enough, or at least was in print for a long enough time, that it'll never be that hard to chase down.

It's tough, because a lot of these games aren't just a single box. Usually it has an expansion or a line of stuff attached that either is good enough to jack up the price, or that someone won't want to sell separately.

I have that first edition as well, and crafted a set of the British force standups.

The one thing I regret was never picking up a second board for the big scenarios. Although, given how often I've played it recently I don't think I've missed it.

I really like the first edition art. I’m glad I have it instead of 2nd, although I realize that’s not a universal opinion.

1st Edition is just as good without the minis and I do prefer its box art. Having played with the minis however I could never go back.

I sold my 1st edition copy of Incursion a couple of years ago, and haven't missed it. :-)

I hate to hear that the Incursion 2 KS seems to have sunk Grindhouse. Jim Bailey is a cool dude. He gave an awesome interview here several years back. Maybe one of the best.

I went looking for it, and the wayback machine still has it:

There are so many games out there that I can't imagine not having one and it causing an irreparable hole in my soul.
