My top 40 board games, ranked.

It was Charlie Theel doing a similar thing that gave me the idea. I suspect mine is less interesting because it's more in tune with prevailing opinions. There are two titles outside the BGG top 1000 in my top 20 though.

I put this up as a list on BGG because it's actually one of the few things that the format is good for.

Can't fault the BGG for the legalese. It's pretty much required for big entities due to EU regulation...

Yeah, I work in this area and a lot of businesses are crapping themselves over the possible ramifications. At this point, it's not clear exactly how the new laws will be interpreted or how harsh infringement is likely to be. There are test cases against Google and Apple starting up in the courts right now.

It's true that BGG has gone to the extreme but until there's more clarity, I can't entirely blame organisations for trying to cover their asses every way they can.

(Don't want to jack my own thread, but the topic of how you keep the internet functioning while protecting user's privacy - or even if protection is the right approach to the issue - is fascinating)
