We have two (at least) game cafes in Columbus:
Kingmakers - Being a 'Parlour' and having a game sommelier is a little tough to swallow for me, but aside from that it's a nice place in a nice part of town.* $5 per person per day. Their selection was fair to middling when I saw it last. Beer/wine/mead is on the menu.
Tabletop Game Cafe - I've never been, but my coworker friend says it's a nice place. It has a $6 food/drink order minimum. Non-alcoholic.
Both these places' libraries tend to lean more towards the Euro side. If you're looking for TI4 or Star Trek: Ascendancy, you've come to the wrong place.
Any others out there, with ideas and business plans to steal or be jealous of?
*Short North, a kind-of-gentrified part of town that has a boutique sort of atmosphere. The whole family visited Short North one weekend, and I showed Kingmakers to my wife and daughter. They were afraid that I was dragging them in there to actually play a game. 'Visible relief' was the look on their faces when they found out we didn't have to play games; whatever they had planned to do that afternoon, boardgaming wasn't it.
The future is in Fort Mitchell KY, but only if people will stop wanting to OWN.
There’s a cool little place where you drop 15$ a month and can come in anytime you want between 10A-2A and play any game you want. They must have a thousand games.
Way better than owning them.

Theres a games cafe called the Treehouse about 5 mins walk from where I live with a pretty wide range in stock, though less at the pure AT end of the spectrum. Only been in once and they were full.

Check out Elm City Games if you're close to New Haven. Huuuuuge library, BYOB, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and weekly game design workshops. Day passes as well as monthly memberships are available. Awesome, awesome place.
