The multi-bender seemed extravagant at the time, but I found a lot of uses for it even without a slide. (super fun with an ebow). I would imagine it would sound really really great on a surf lead with some thick spring reverb

Splashback's drummer is my old friend. Saw them live and even though it's my tippity top fave sound, it's still awesome to listen to. They have a distinctively Dick Dale vibe, and that's really cool.
So, check this shit out. Mama's been listening to me play again, and was getting jealous. She wanted to go to Guitar Center (I said I needed to get a cable, so she just wanted to "tag along". Well, she had some money left over from her settlement after doing the bills and whatnot, and bought herself a bad ass Ibanez A/E. Flamed, sunburst, antique violin finish, steel strings, and everything. Built in fucking tuner!
I'm jealous.
Part of me is sitting here praying she gets frustrated and quits so I can inherit it. I have Rocksmith 2014, and I've already got her hooked into it. She's digging it, but she never played, ever, in her whole life, so it sounds not unlike a baby being beaten with a boiled kitten.

So my dad got me a mexican strat with some great seymour duncan pups for my birthday.
So now I have a strat, my custom tele that my buddy made for me, a hollowtop cello body hohner doppelganger from the 70's that we stuck a bigsby on, and my Peavey Nitro Custom III that I worked my ass off for in high school (ELECTRIC TEAL WITH A SCALLOPPED REVERSE HEADSTOCK. GOES GREAT WITH MC HAMMER PANTS)
Why do I feel like I need a Les Paul to be complete, when I only had 1 electric five years ago?
