There's a lot of cool stuff that gets kind of samey once you do the whole storyline. Maybe it plays better in a guild or whatever they call it in Destiny 2. I'm in one, but haven't played D2 in about a year.

ETA: Destiny 2 is a really good-looking game, though. I played a little Guild Wars 2 lately, and while GW2 is pretty compared to WoW, it's not even close to Destiny 2.

Me too! Took my hunter through all 3 stories, when they booted the whole thing to like $16.00 on the last xbox sale to see if I wanted to jump in for Forsaken.

I don't think I do. I'm not into the pvp anymore, I have Overwatch for that itch. And after I busted through the story, Granted, I'm still cleaning up the adventure missions, which were a great addition....but after that all that's left is the procedurally generated events to keep loot dropping.

And the loot sucks.

I'll play in December when the whole mess drops for 20 and the devs make 2 or 3 updates and put the catch up mechanism in.

Destiny 2 is a free PSPlus game this month, for those who do that sort of thing.

I had a lot of fun with Destiny 2 when it first came out. I never played Destiny 1, so everything was new and shiny to me. Eventually, I got to the endgame and without enough friends playing, never got to do the raids. I wish they'd implement an LFG/LFR system. I came back a little while with the first expansion, but it was so content-bare I got bored again. I'll return if the newest expansion is on sale, but I'm not interested enough for $40.

I still have Overwatch on regular rotation.

I also restarting my WoW account after a 2-year hiatus (after a 7.5-year run) and have been enjoying the hell out of the new expansion.

I got one of the tiny sneses, so no judgment, but I can't imagine going back fondly to this era of videogames nostalgically. And I played the SHIT out of my PS1, don't get it twisted.

I never had a PS1, so my interest in it is largely playing stuff that I never have played before. And when I consider that, I'm sure I could buy one second hand with a pile of games for pennies on the dollar.

If you have a PS3, you can play any PS1 game on it.

This one will sell, but I doubt it will have the impact of the classic NES from last year.

Isn't it only the first gen PS3s that have backwards compatibility? I think they took that out.

Got farther than I have ever gotten in Dead Cells. Had a kickass loadout that allowed me to crush a lot of fools without even fighting them personally (slicer and whatever they call the crossbow turret). Kicked the ass of the Concierge AND managed to kill the second boss too. It was really awesome. This game has so many layers to it, I can tell that you could play for a LONG time if you wanted to discover all of it.

Question to anyone who may have beaten this game... how long is a complete run?

Been playing Frozen Synapse 2, which is a lot of fun if you're a wargamer. It's basically a man to man simultaneous move tactical game with a light strategic grid on top of it.

I'm pretty sure that's PS2 backwards compatibility. that's a harder machine to emulate. PS1 stuff has been on PSN and is easier to play on other stuff. Me, that's what the PSP is for.

That was the backwards compatibility for playing PS2 games.

All PS3 play PS1 games.

I miss Sekigahara, but considering how I was never able to find opponents, it had to go.

But I miss it.

So enters Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun on steam.

I've just barely dipped my toe in the water, but after long horse show days out of town, this is nice respite so far.

It feels a lot like Pike and Shot.

Still going hard on Dead Cells. Tonight I finally got to the Elite that has the Spider Rune, something I have been coveting for a while now. I died. :/

As many wonderful pieces of gear there are in that game, I find that the ultimate load-out for me, so far, is:
Impaler
Fire Bracers
Wolf Trap
Crossbow Turret

Continued play of Firewall and the new Creed:Rise to Glory boxing game on the PSVR.

Creed can be a fun boxing game as long as you do not meet up with the people that cheese their way through a match so that it looks like a slap fight. It is satisfying to beat a cheeser with proper technique. I sought out a league to have a group of people to play against who have a mutual agreement not to cheese their matches.

Firewall continues to entertain and I don't think I will be able to settle for flat screen FPS games. Solid tactical play will win the day 90% of the time. It is very rewarding when your team is firing on all cylinders, communicating effectively, and downing the opposition. However, the grindy level gain to unlock new weapons is rough. Thankfully, you can be effective in the game with the first and second tier weapons late into the levels.

I freed myself from the clutches of No Man's Sky and updated to Destiny 2: Forsaken. Restarting with a Titan. Haven't gotten too far in yet, but this time I'm going to try and play with some of my online pals.
