Yeah, this really killed it for me. Inventory management is BORING. And there seems like there's way too many crafting materials (or whatever some of that shit is) which are also clogging up my space. I could be more forgiving if it had split-screen.

AER memories of old on PS4.

Despite it's low polygon count, and a compelling story that gives nary a surprise with easily solved puzzles, I found the rather short jaunt enjoyable, especially since I enjoyed Journey, Rime, Flower, Abzū, etc.

It's on sale in the ps store for $6, and for that price it's worth it.

One of those art games that I was glad to have experienced.

Welp, I don't think I can no longer interested in any games lasting for more than few hours. Cities Skylines is the only thing capable of gluing me to my seat for more than 2 hours. Other games are bite sized ones like re-playing Starcraft II campaign mission or a 4 vs 4 AI/Skirmish of Dawn of War 1.

Having a hard time getting interested in any game that isn’t Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate right now. MH World isn’t nearly as interesting in comparison. I still play some Nintendo games and MLB The Show, but keep coming back to this game like an addict.

Still playing Black Ops IIII quite a bit . I think getting older has made me less tolerant of many things. One of which is certainly people eating into their headsets. The friend of a friend was going to town on a bag of chips and I almost lost my mind. I muted him which seemed like the polite thing to do but then everyone took that as an insult and complained about my breathing.

Yeah... maybe I’m just getting too old for this stuff

My least favorite part of Overwatch is deciding on whether to play with the mechanically skilled kids in the lobby or play with 21+ lfg's which are 50/50 - 50 percent of the time I can get a decent group of college kids and professionals - the other 50% of the time it's stoners and late nihgt drinkers that are worse mechanically and communicate (nothing useful) and outside of their main have little idea of gamesense or gamestate.

I still don't understand people that play Overwatch or Battlefield with randos. These games require MASSIVE coordination between squadmates, you can't lonewolf these games at all. You gotta play these games with friends in parties, no other option (if you want to have fun).

It's one of the big pluses of CoD games, you can go in there with one friend and have a great time (unless they are complaining about your breathing of course)

The last shooter I regularly played before Overwatch was Halo 2. I've never enjoyed Call of Duty at all in any form. I've never been good at knowing who I'm actually supposed to shoot in those games before I'm dead. I don't like the pace.

Yeah twitch shooters have a brutal learning curve. This one has a great onboarding for people new to multiplayer. Each of the 10-12 specialists has a skirmish mode where they teach you how to use abilities, scorestreaks and the various modes of multiplayer, all against bots that you can program difficulty (three levels). It feels exactly like multiplayer so you can play around in these skirmishes for weeks before dipping your toes into actual multiplayer

And even then matchmaking is really good to keep lObbies nice and soft until u get better.

I recommend playing Domination as the mode of choice, there are three control points to capture, you just need to hold two of them to win. Don’t need to worry about KD ratios or anything. The focus isn’t on killing. You can program low level killstreaks until u get better, you can take care of enemy killstreaks to help the Team until you get better (support!)

It’s good fun. I’m glad they made this one accessible

J,
If you have a PS4 and a spare 300 bucks to throw down, get the PSVR Firewall bundle with the Aim controller. The pace is much more tactical and there is a great community. I really wish more of the gamers here were in on the PSVR. It would be great to squad it up on Firewall.

Barney you play on PS4? If so what's your name on there, we can shoot some dudes if you want. I've been pretty into hardcore TDM lately, but I'm happy to play anything.

I'm on XBOne so that's a pretty significant chunk of change to throw down, unfortunately.

Runner 3 came out on the PS4 today, which I'm extremely excited about. Runner 2 is one of my all time favorite games, and this one looks really good too.

Pooky, i'm on Xbox One so NO DICE.

Ugh, I remember hating hardcore TDM. It was one of those feast-or-famine modes for me back in the day.

I only play core domination now.

Man I played Runner 2 for so many damn hours. I can see myself falling down the rabbit hole hard again here. Its possible I played the first level for an hour trying to nail a good run. Man I love these games.
