They're all starting to look the same to me. I don't think I could tell you plot of any particular film as they all blend in my mind at this point.

I haven’t seen another one since the first. They look really well made and excited but I just never feel like seeing them

Josh Look wrote: Saw it again today. My statements still stand. It’s a hell of a movie. It might work so well because the characters are pretty defined going in and the plot is (refreshingly) basic, but it packs a pretty tremendous punch.
What's the gripping scene Josh? What's the moment that caught you the second time?

So the first time I watched it, I was too in shock at the end to fully absorb the entirety of what happens there. No shock that they were killing off characters that are most likely to return, but shock that they actually were doing it at all and ending the movie there. Thanos wins. Even the Empire doesn’t win this big at the end of ESB.
So I knew why Doctor Strange gives up the time stone, he knows Tony still has a role to play and couldn’t let him die. What I missed is that Strange does at the end. Whatever plan or machinations he was aware of, it’s up to everyone else to carry it out. It’s a interesting place to leave it, more interesting than it would have been for Strange to let the unthinkable happen knowing they’ll win in the end.
I was also able to really take in Brolin’s performance more. He’s really doing a killer job with the character.

The key for me was listening to what several of you have said or hinted at in this thread: Let go of your self, sit back, and enjoy the ride. Embrace the excitement of being a 13-year-old comic book fan again. It was kind of perfect in that regard. No more origin stories. If you don't know who someone is, too bad, we're moving along. Action scene, dialog scene, action scene, dialog scene. In any other genre, that would probably be ridiculous, but here it worked fantastically and just like a comic book. The first Avengers movie is probably better paced, acted, and scripted, but this is the superhero mash-up movie that all the others have been building to.
It's not great cinema. It won't win awards. But it was truly a fun time at the theater and worth a full-sized bucket of popcorn.

Do you know what's my only real issue with the film? Fighting Thanos is like punching a brick. Seriously, the guy is just inmune. It's like when you are a playing a JRPG and you use a big ass attack with a 10-second animation and flashing lights all over only for the damage counter to show "1". I would have prefered to have him use the gems more and make him less resilent.

Same thing with Thor:Ragnarok, Thor:Dark World, Ultron, etc. None of these bad guys could even take a .50BMG sniper round to the head, much less all the powerful shit even a third rate military could dish out.
I guess I am wondering when they'll let Michael Bay direct a marvel film At least in Man of Steel we get a few licks in!
