Ours doesn't dry very well, but the is a 'extra dry' function. It works somewhat.

I'm picturing the fan blowing away the chits from a week long session of some discontinued wargame, and you trashing your game room in a blind rage.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAahhaaa ahhh

My buddy had this happen a few weeks ago : they built a custom table to hold their combined pacific and european axis and allied boards and had the game set up. I came by and helped during set up. Came back a few hours later and watched them end turn 2. then sometime that week the cat discovered the table and slept on it.

I'm replacing the shower floor grout and debating between epoxy grout and regular grout with sealant. Does anyone know the difference?

Epoxy grout is bitch to work with, compared to regular grout. Also more difficult if you ever want to re-tile.

We're getting ready to finish our basement. Dealing with contractors and sales people is not something I'm looking forward to.

We are finally getting new windows in the upstairs. WeatherGuard out of Detroit are pretty damn good. They replaced our downstairs windows, put in a door wall, and installed a bay window four years ago. If you are in Michigan and need windows, door wall, etc. check them out.

I figured that it is nice to hear of quality companies having to do with home improvement once in a while.

If you replace some of the water (like 25%) with Sika Pro (or another latex additive) it binds like stone but you have about 20 minutes to work with it (after letting it sit for 5 minutes) and it will NEVER fail. Completely waterproof. But Shellie is right - it’s a bitch to work with and you have to mush it in FAST and tool it FAST or you WILL fuck it up.

Expect the price to be cost of materials x2. Any more tell them to fuck off.

I've tried posting about three times with four attached images and the forum software keeps blowing chunks, so here's a link to my basement bathroom, which is leaking despite the slathering of heroic levels of caulk all over the tiles.

I came to ask a question that I already know the answer to, that answer being, "rip out the floor of the shower and re-tile that horrific prop from a horror video game about an abandoned mental hospital."

Fourth attempt to include an image:

I am making some red oak hardwood flooring from scratch. My father-in-law owns a portable sawmill and has no shortage of lumber. So far I have planed the lumber and ran about 3/4 through the joiner. Next up is forming the tongue and grooves. I am in no way a handy guy, so I am learning a lot and getting a fair amount of disappointed head shakes from my father-in-law. You know the type, 'why did my daughter pick out this nerd, when she could have found a real man.' ... or maybe you don't, might just be me.

Anyway looking forward to replacing the real nasty carpet in the living room.

After some 'gentle' prodding from my wife, I replaced the plumbing and garbage disposal today. I only required one trip back to Home Depot after buying the disposal.

I bought a house and my life is all of these things rolled into one. I may get to play board games again... someday.

We may end up moving to Colorado.

This means that the 70,000$ of shit I’ve done to my house will invariably be done at the new house. Because mama likes shit the way she likes shit.
