So, culmination. This one got caught in the scheduling travails (we should always remain grateful that Uba is still running herd on the electrons of this place) but has now finally emerged from the depths. As kind of an exception to my usual deep dives, this one took a little more effort simply because of the enormous pile of material that exists for the game (and is still coming-!) "Content" definitely rules the day here, but it's also why when it came to the taxonomy section I wanted to dig back into the literary origin of the material as much as I could, since it goes back a lot farther than whatever Sandy Petersen was doing in the 80s.

Forgive me if this came up at some point and I forgot about it... what is the deal with that baby-sized "miniature" of Cthulhu that they were selling. That was for this game, wasn't it?

Yeah, it's just a tchochke. It's like half a meter tall, so there's no game purpose to it whatsoever. It's just a statue. It came with the first KS for the game. It was an extra called R'lyeh Rising and it had a couple "conclusion" episodes if you were trying to play the game as a campaign and the end boss was Extra Large Cthulhu.
