Bring Victory to Your House in Harry Potter™: House Cup Competition!

Welcome to another year at Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

The House Cup calls for the brightest students to compete in this worker placement strategy game. Players will act as iconic members of Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin to earn the most points and win the coveted House Cup.

Strategic choices are needed in Harry Potter: House Cup Competition as it recreates the joy and house pride among students vying to stand out at the end of the school year. Players will have three wizards-in-training as their student “workers” who will need to gain knowledge in classes like Charms, Potions, and Defence Against the Dark Arts, while completing challenges to bring glory to your house. Deciding the best ways to increase your knowledge will unlock more possibilities and score more points!

A unique scoring display will allow players to track their progress and reward the most successful strategies with a victory for your house. The player to earn the most points for their House will be named the House Cup Champion!

Naming this House Cup Competition when there’s already a game called House Cup Challenge was stupid. No two ways about it, stupid.

If they were smart, they just pay the Argent designer to simplify the design a bit and run with that. The general theme of contested leadership of a magic school is solid.

It is, but like all of Level 99’s games I feel like it might be a little bit too outside the box for its own good. I feel like I need a nap after any of their games, Argent is no exception.

Obviously I'm a huge Argent fan in the bananas form it currently exists, but it is definitely not tuned for mass market in its existing form.

Yeah, I kept typing “challenge” when inputting the title and game name.
