I only know of this particular Kickstarter because of this thread, but I feel bad for the dude. In my own limited game design efforts, I have felt the irresistible pull of designing for an inaccessible license. My one published game is less than what I designed because of the creative compromises involved in using an existing game company's setting. A few years ago, I even designed exactly the game I wanted for an unavailable license, just for play with my friends. But in general, a game designer is much better off starting with those influences and moving beyond to them, enjoying the freedom and challenges of doing something completely original.

Word of warning, this has a flexible goal, meaning this worthless sack of shit gets your money even if it doesn’t fund. I’m going to put what’s heard in that video as my memory serves in spoilers below. It’s so fucked up, be warned, but I need as many people as possible to know that this isn’t a joke.
He’s about 7 hours and 50 minutes into an Apex Legends stream, screen is sitting on the disconnected screen. He suddenly screams “You! All the fucking day long! Look at the mess you made!” The kids start crying at this point. “Eat it! Eat it! Fucking eat it! Eat all of it!” He screams this 15-20 times, kids are still crying. “And you, Vito! What the fuck is wrong with you?” I assume he singles one of them out. What follows has to be the sound of him beating the shit out of one or both of them, it’s that sound of flesh hitting flesh and the crying and screaming from the kids intensifies with each strike. He starts repeating “Shut the fuck up!” He tells William, naming him as he says it, “If you don’t shut the fuck up, I’m going to throw you out the fucking window!” We did our research yesterday, his kids names are William and Vito. No question it’s him.
The fight with his wife is also cringe-worthy, calls her a prostitute and that she’ll need a court order to see her kids. They talk about violating a websites T&Cs, I assume eBay, so list more items than are allowed by making separate accounts.
Yeah, FUCK this guy. No sympathy.

Some people are backing this Kickstarter? And he might get to keep their money, assuming he doesn't lose it all in court? Dumb and dumber, but they might all learn something from the experience.

This gets stranger.
DCF was scheduled to visit the house yesterday but on arrival, found the family had fled. They turned up in RI, and are now with a foster family.
Meanwhile, a new GOT game showed up on KS today (found here ) and was quickly taken down. The creator (based out of Providence, RI) went out of their way to claim they were not at all connected to the previous campaign, and that this was a completely different game. They went on to explain their game, identical and just as nonsensical as the previous one, and that all comments would be heavily monitored. Any comments found to be not to their liking would result in legal action, naming their lawyers who just so happen to be located in the same state that the first game that they have no connection to was based out of.
I hope these fuckers rot.
