The Rugby 6 Nations

Rugby – the best sport in the world. Given that fact, it’s strange the lack of talk it generates on internet forums. Less than two hours before Wales hopefully beat France on their home turf. And I’m still in work. I should finish with enough time to get down the pub and get festively inebriated before the game starts. Man, the late shift sucks.

Wish there was more of it on US TV. Midnight broadcasts on ESPN2 and the like would be nice, I'd watch them on the Tivo.

I have a vague grasp of the game, but I don't watch it very often. I'm shelling out the 15 bucks a month for Setanta on DirecTV for football (soccer), and they happen to show plenty of rugby too...but I have no allegiances and really can't get myself into it.

You need to support Wales up north and New Zealand or South Africa down south - that will have you pissing of all the English ... which is the main aim of most rugby fans :-P

Have owned both Welsh and New Zealand Rugby tops whilst living in England. I did live in Wales for 3 years though.

Arse, we lost. Good game though.

The French 'showed up' this time (always a lottery which team shows up) and the forwards, especially the loose guys, put in a supreme effort - very physical and hard both crashing up and defending the gain line. The difference seemed to be that they got more (forwards) in both their defensive or attacking plays, and were outnumbering Wales by the 2nd half in most contacts.
Their 17stone centre played extremely well for such a big guy, and the back three ran good lines most of the game.

Very good game to watch, and Wales nearly pinched it from a couple of those late lineouts.
