I played my first game of Malifaux last night.
It has a "Warmachine / Hordes" feel to the mechanics. You have a resource management mechanic that allows you to boost certain actions. It uses a deck of cards instead of dice, and that is a really fun method of resolving combat and game play. You flip cards instead of rolling dice, have the option of replacing the flipped card with a card in your hand (6 or 7, depending on game size), and can burn "soulstones" to add to your result.
The model count is quite low, and the start up cost is very reasonable. All in all, a great fun skirmish miniatures game. If you've been sitting on the fence, I say give it a try.

I'm tempted by the miniatures and the setting. A dozen guys from my club are interested/have bought mini's.
But it does require some painting though and I just can't find the time lately. Still have to finish my Necromunda team.
