Anyone in the US buy something for me & ship it to the UK

My wife has a bag that she loves, but which has finally been worn to a ravelling. She wants another, but annoyingly the uk outlet of e-bags where she got it no longer stocks the design. The US outlet, however does, but it won't ship to the UK direct. Emails to either have gone unanswered.
Would anyone be able to get us an estimate for how much, total it'd cost to get one of these delivered to your door and then send it across the pond. And then, if she's willing to pay the premium, actually buy one and mail it to us?
It's this product, in black.

This is true only on the orders that are filled by Amazon (your link is an eBags-only sale for the black version). The marketplace and non-Amazon sellers that list through the Amazon storefront don't always ship internationally. (I've run into this many times with both Amazon UK and Amazon Germany...)

Yeah, nice find and I appreciate it but as Dogmatix says, it's a seller within Amazon and they won't send internationally.
Thanks for your offer, Repoman. I'll check out the postage rates across the pond and get back in touch.
Cheers,
Matt

You sure about that? I thought USPS had abolished surface mail?
I had a quick look based on a 8oz package and got airmail quotes anywhere between $14 and $40, which wasn't a lot of help really

Based on it fitting in the smaller of their boxes and weighing less than 5lbs.
<As an aside, do you know my friend Matt Deaville. He lives over in Bristol, which I note is close to bath and he plays with a bunch of locals? If not you should. He's a good guy.>

Surface mail *is* gone, but 1st class is not--and is usually under $30 to the UK. You can't print 1st class postage online, though unless you use a service like Endica/Dymo Postage. No, unfortunately, can you use 1st Class International for parcels over a certain weight--4lbs I believe, as that's the weight at which you need to use different Customs forms, also--either.
As for the lack of options on the USPS site, the fine folks at USPS set-up their website to basically hide all mail classes below Priority. That's what happens when you're on the verge of bankruptcy every year, after all. Anyway, Express is the USPS version of "overnight"--except it almost never gets anywhere overnight. (Priority is generally just fine if you want it to arrive within 2 weeks. There's really no reason to use Express unless you're dead-fucked if whatever it is doesn't get to its destination inside a week. And if that's the case, you should be coughing up the big money to FedEx anyway as they have some guarantees and much better tracking.) To see 1st Class, you need to actually click on the "click to view these options" link to display them; as you witnessed, it will only automatically display the 2 most expensive options. If possible, downsize the packaging to get under 4 lbs and you're looking at $25-$35. Under 3lbs and it should be $20-25...
(I became intimate with USPS arcana over the course of a few years of selling OOP wargames on ebay. When the Euro was going for more than $1.50, I moved a LOT of games to buyers in Germany and Italy....)
