Wow. Some stretch goals really show that no one is steering the ship.

Batcow is 100% legit. It’s from the Grant Morrison run. Damian Wayne takes him in.

For the last couple of years, I've been maintaining a deal with a few friends across the country to paint their minis in exchange for games; send two boxes, get back one painted in return. This was a great deal back when I'd get the latest 200 dollar wave of Imperial Assault stuff, equaling 15-25 minis. The understanding is that I paint them to the level of quality I would paint for myself (nothing too fancy), and I do it on my own time.
A year and a half ago, I agreed to paint three Kickstarters; Massive Darkness, Rising Sun and Mythic Battles. They all came within a couple of months of each other recently. Mythic Battles is a fun game, with a tremendous amount of content and a reasonable number of minis. Rising Sun is a fine game with a lot of minis it doesn't need. If I get tired of either game, I can probably sell them on the market for a reasonable amount.
But Massive Darkness is 1) a not-good game which 2) uses mini-spam as hit points for the boss minis. It's like being dropped into quicksand made of minis. Neither of us are especially excited for me to finish this thing, but my obligation to him is adamant. I have to finish this thing, eventually.
I have a wall of plastic crap in one of my rooms piled halfway to the ceiling.
So, my attitude about Kickstarter stretch goals has soured. I was pretty excited about painting up a row of Batman Villains, but at this point, me and all my friends are just burned out. It's too much.
