× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!
This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.
Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;
Two games enter! One game leaves!

That painting is from 1680, which would be the 17th Century. I get your point, though.

Yeah. There's a lot of debate about when exactly it came back into fashion or the "lower kilt" became a distinct garment from the belted "full kilt" or whatever. I think the last time I read about it, most people were relying on accounts saying that it had shown up as a regular thing in the 1740s, but it's been a while, so I could be wrong.

Winner!
13 - 11
Another close one. It was knotted up until the anti-Gibson votes came out and did in Braveheart. On the flip, Braveheart inspired the creation of one of the finest wargames ever designed and I was surprised it wasn't brought up as consideration...being a board game site and all...
If you haven't played HotS yet, treat yourself this holiday season.
And with that, my time on the CinemaDome Committee has come to an end. It was a good run and I'm proud of what we accomplished. I leave the seat having run participation back up into the mid 20's. As with any public official I didn't get everything passed during my term, so here's a few of the other good works we had in store that the next individual may choose to run with...or not.
Goonies v Stand By Me
Die Hard v Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Rickman!)
Godzilla (edwards) v King Kong (jackson) (too little vs too much)
Tombstone v Pirates of the Caribbean (Kilmer's Holliday vs Depp's Sparrow)
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly v Unforgiven
True Grit (remake) v 3:10 to Yuma (remake)
Intersteller v Sunshine
Tremors v Dog Soldiers
Judge Dredd v Dredd

That first one would be a nightmare. I guess Goonies but it's mostly an anti-Wil Wheaton vote.
Die hard (this will be unanimous)
Tombstone (same)
True Grit (so amazing)
Interstellar (mostly cuz the final act of Sunshine is hot garbage)
Tremors
Dredd
Thanks Jeff for your service !

These results show that it's good Cinemadome is ending. Obviously people were doing it wrong.
