The tone and content of F:AT has definitely changed over the months for the reason Ken said. At the beginning there was a lot of philosophizing about AT games, Euros and games in general. Now that most members have spouted off their opinions and viewpoints, people have moved on to more mundane and personal posts about gaming news, opinions about individual games, seeking information, and general BS. I'd say the honeymoon is winding down and we're settling into normal day to day life here at F:AT. Not to say that there still aren't those philosophical-type discussions from time to time. Barnes' and Matt's recent articles have been in that vein, and have generated interesting discussion here.

I don't make that point in a negative way. It actually makes F:AT more interesting and useful.

Holy crap - I just gotta say that EuroNewman is my new favorite feature on FAT. Sweet Jesus I'm laughing more at him than anything else on this site. Let's keep him around, shall we? Maybe he can go find some dirt on Agricola over at BGG? Keep the captions coming!

Hey, Ska Baron likes me? I HAVE ARRIVED!

I'm going to submit a mundane and personal post to F:AT about how BigLizard and I spooned in the back of his Toyota Paseo!

Does this mean you're going to send me a nude photo of you playing RACE FOR THE GALAXY?

I just hit the free shipping threshold by adding some rather elegant fillers to my order!

You mean you actually paid more than 35% off MSRP for a game? *snicker*

You bought a Mayfair game? They are price fixers now. Do try to keep up!

I swear... if I had the brains to figure out how to insert a picture into my post...

Or do I just need to save it to my computer and go that route?

EDIT: and I don't know about anyone else, but EuroNewman has a Vincent Price-esque voice, but with much clucking of the tongue.

Hey Ska Baron, just right click on me and select "Copy Image Location". Then in your post paste it in, highlight, and click "Img" on the toolbar. Bing! I show up to make all your F:AT posts something special! BTW, I'm Board Gamin' Glenn, not "Euronewman"- can't you tell, only guys with the name "Glenn" wear glasses like these hot wireframes I picked up at Sam's Club

Vincent Prices? If he's anything like Nelson Prince then you're right on the money!

It's a shame that they don't have an 11 because that's what Agricola should get. 10...Bah.

Only 365 days to Essen!

Oh wow, a new Valerie Putnam column about Game X! There hasn't been one of those for days!

Efficiency AND optimisation!

but I do care deeply about things like data transparency, manipulation of ambiguity and competitive efficiency

(not sure about the last one, does Clearclaw smile?)

What a "chap"- that Moss_Icon used the British spelling of "optimisation"- I bet he's quite the sophisticated gamer!

... thus snatching the Longest Road from him at the last minute and winning the game!
It is a proud story to be telling my grandchildren is it not?

... but I had my revenge on him for calling me a passive-aggressive person. When he left for the toilet, I bit the head off of one of the girly-mans' plastic toy monster game pieces.
