Yahtzee solved the problem years ago with the reliable dice cup -- cheap, it works, and dice don't scatter.

Agreed, except the plastic ones (like the one found in Yahtzee) are loud and annoying. You can get some decent leather ones which generate a nice soothing sound when rolling dice.

Soothing? I want the sound of plastic on plastic combat when I roll! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL GOD'S THRONE!

soothing? My dice cup can kick your dice cup's ass.

I've cheated in Euchre, but Euchre is one of those games that actively encourages it. Table talking. Stealing the deal. Etc.

Does it help that my dice cup is made of dead animal flesh?

Gotta admit Tom, that does seem to fall under the "Khorne Korollary" you cite above.

[And I'm one of those that can't take the plastic clattering thing...Plus, years of [bad] backgammon play has engendered a certain love in me for shaking a leather die cup AND SLAMMING IT DOWN ON THE TABLE LIKE CRUSHING A ROACH. :-)]
