I haven't seen the 2nd ep yet, but I thought the first one was solid. Much as I generally love this show and the Simpsons, they've been pretty much hit or miss for quite a while as far as whether each individual episode is good as a whole. But regardless, each one is usually good for a few laughs, at least.
Hehe This is going to sound weird, but I watch a lot of late night TV while feeding / putting to bed my daughter. Re-runs of futurama is one of the few things I normally watch I feel comfortable watching with her. Its one of the few shows thats genuinely funny, but isn't as....err...questionable at times. (ie South Park, Family Guy, etc)
I preferred the second episode to the first one, which wasn't that great IMO (except for that "Surplus doomsday devices" bit). Voice acting is still really good. Needs more Bender and Professor though. I think the funniest character on the show is Professor, kinda like Mr. Burns in the Simpsons.

I liked the first one, simply for the Blade Runner reference. I started tearing up with laughing so hard.
Saw the second ep last night, and it was okay. Not nearly as good as the first one. Here's the problem exactly: Zapp Brannigan. That character is funny in very small doses, but as a featured character he gets tedious in a hurry.

And he was missing his ever despairing green sidekick!
