What kind of spookily thematic games do you like to play around this time?

In the past we have tried to have a Halloween game night, and played Psycho Raiders, or Betrayal at House on the Hill. This year I hope to be holding my new copy of Damnation: The Gothic Game, since it has started being delivered.

Camp Grizzly
The Gothic Game
Psycho Raiders
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Milton Bradley version)
Vampyre

A proper Halloween game should have player elimination, and also be under 90 minutes and entertaining enough that eliminated players don't get bored while waiting for the next game.

Nightmare / Atmosfear is the only answer here.

The Hellgame. Been a long time since we played, though.

Oh, I haven’t played that in 15 years!

Still have my copy and will likely never part with it. It's not a GREAT game, but it's a good one, especially if you're with a group that doesn't mind random events happening that can be devastating. Also, wrapping your mind around how the map works (concentric circles) in terms of attacking in different directions is always kind of a weird treat.

I remember it being creative and fun. The card art was awesome. It was somewhat chaotic, but that is thematic.

We had two people with copies, so I traded or sold mine. Then shortly after, the other person moved away.

Around this time of year, I switch out all the games on the small bookshelf in our back room with horrorgames.

Arkham Horror (2nd)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (MB)
Camp Grizzly (handmade)
Cave Evil
The Gothic Game (80's version)
Last Night on Earth
Spire's End
A Touch of Evil
Warhammer Quest: Cursed City

Separate magazine rack for all of the Emperors of Eternal Evil Halloween Horrors.

Incidentally, I'm studying to take the GRE on Halloween, so I don't know which of these might actually get played this year.

I'm surprised Fury of Dracula hasn't been mentioned yet. Halloween is about the only time that one gets played these days.

We do a Fall-Fest every year that centers around Halloween-type games. My completely pimped-out A Touch of Evil is the mainstay. Followed by Betrayal and Mysterium. The Night Cage is a newer addition, and I am also hoping to have my copy of The Gothic Game for our next get-together.

Ooooooh!
My favorite topic!!!

- Fury of Dracula (blah!)
- Psycho Raiders
- Don't Look Back

Uncertain about Trick or Treat Studio offerings, I went with Prospero Hall's 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Slaughterhouse' after seeing it previewed at Gen Con. For now, it's a B&N exclusive and nicely priced at $30. Player elimination. It may see a spin tonight, since my god damn gaming convention was cancelled. Stupid rain...

I have a copy of the Funko Texas Chainsaw as well, and it looks rad. I love the little legacy mechanism of items being put in the box.

The Trick or Treat Texas Chainsaw game also looks great. Designed by Scott Rogers (who has posted here in the past), and clearly being influenced by Camp Grizzly.

Played Bloody Inn twice tonight with Al. Al calls it a game that makes you think sideways. Hoping to get 4 or 5 together before the end of spooky game season to play Fury of Dracula.
