How is Bohnanza AT-friendly?
It's not, it's clearly a filthy euro and only for losers because AT is singularly defined as needing to not have lame beans in it. And of course, one can never like a game that isn't pure plastic AT.
Or you know, you're just a moron troll... munch munch.
Why is it I want to talk about games and you want to talk about your troll fixation?
I wanted to know how Bohnanza (a trading game) is considered AT. I like it but I have never considered it AT. Has the AT definition changed that much?

Why don't you go ahead and define it for us then.

MiniMonFa - (2 players, up to 4 with the expansions)
Dragon's Gold - (Yes, a filthy Euro, but you kill dragons and then argue about who gets what! Also, they have a magic item that ALLOWS you to steal from a hoard!)
Dungeoneer Series (I have Tomb of the Lich Lord and it's fun).
Star Force Terra I have the 3W version, it got a lot of play during college.

It's clearly not AT -- no player elimination, no fantasy/SF/horror/war theme, etc.
But it's AT-friendly, in that it has a lot of things that appeal to AT fans: high interaction, negotiation, and possibilities for collusion, deals, and betrayal. The game is just simple enough to provide a framework for interaction, but the players must provide the rest. With a stereotypical Euro group, this game will suck as everyone quietly thinks and analyzes the probabilities and tries to track the cards. With a typical AT group, this game will rock, as people yell at each other and try to drown out counteroffers.

Thanks Kevin! That makes sense. Have AT-friendly games been discussed much here? I'd be interested to see what people think about it.
