Doing the masterboard moves would work online, but what happens when there is a battle? Does the game bog down?

That takes place online as well. Like a face 2 face game how long a battle takes depends on the players.

Let's take odds on the number of threads that will start with "I got my copy of TITAN", and then another set of odds on "piece X of my new Titan is broken/ripped/missing". It's going to hit soon.

Hmmm. I don't know about the production quality because I'm still waiting for my pre-order copy, even though people at Essen managed to pick theirs up. It's also available through the VG website with a 3-5 day delivery time.

Now I'm not a born complainer. I'm willing to forgive Valley a lot because they're a small outfit who have worked hard to resurrect the rights to some great games that we thought would never see the light of day again. However, I realised today that because I live in the UK and have thus had to pay Airmail shipping charges I have in fact paid something in the region of a £10 premium to receive a game after convention and casual customers.

This has made me really angry. I'd love to know what VG have to say about it.

They did the same thing with "Hannibal" which is why I will not be buying anything from Valley Games again.

They get the hard core gamers to pay for their production costs, they produce the game, and then go sell it at Essen before you get your game.

Since your preorder financed the production of "Titan" you should get a piece of the pie, kind of like stock.

Write them and tell them you want 5% of the sales since you financed the game for them.

I'd be less inclined to care if I'd got something out of the deal - a lower price, for example, like people preordering in the US got.

But as it stands - especially considering no-one from Valley seems to care enough to even tap a few keys and respond to a complaint - I'm with you on future VG products. Republic of Rome is coming off my wish list right now

That seems legit. They really cocked this thing up. A huge HUGE part of dealing with gamers is expectation management. gamers on the whole, are demanding--but mostly they demand information. As long as you keep them apprised of the process, they'd be OK. They would complain incessantly, but just keep replying with more info and you'll keep a good chunk on your side.

I imagine Valley Games has since looked at the quality and cost of components coming out of the factory that turned out CONFLICT OF HEROES and has made plans to move should they feel a need to secure another run. The retail might bump to $80 or even $90, but I bet it would be worth it after FFG breaks that pricepoint open with the big box games.

Man, I got bounced fast from the F:AT Titan game. I put the blame squarely on Steve "Cock Fingers" Weeks .

I think we can fudge a TITANplus game through the ACTS interface. Plays the same, but:

1) There are no Centaurs, Ogres, or Gargoyles.
2) Starting Legion is Angel, Titan, 2@ Troll, 2@ Lion, 2@ Cyclops
3) Troll, Lion, and Cyclops are Tower Creatures for mustering purposes.
4) You only have 8 Legion markers instead of 12.

We'll have to do a bit of Legion editing to pull this off, so folks totally new to the interface might want to hold off.

If you're down, let me know.

The production on this game looks damn good. It has pushed me way closer to buying Republic of Rome.
