I got a little burned out this last summer but I'm kind of itching to do some gaming events this year- possibly even some of the big one like origins or gencon. I've also noticed some pretty cheap airfair lately. What gaming events are everyone looking forward to going to?
For me Definately:
Atlanta Gamesday Jan
Gulf Games Feb
Possibly:
Trashfest May
Oasis of Fun June
Gencon july
World boardgaming Championsips August
ThatBoardgameThing September
BGGCon November
I'm curious to see what other people are going to and which they like the best.
BGG Con is a 15 minute drive from my house so I'll be attending for as long as I live in this wretched fucking city. We have the Dallas Games Marathon, 3 days every month, I'll go to all of them. At least there's decent gaming here. Besides making it to that local stuff I'll be going to the WBC.
Heya Here is the linky to Gamefest South this Jan 9-11. I've skipped the last few so I'm definately going to this one. Let me know if you're close enough to come and I'll be happy to put you up (I'm way out in the Burbs but at least it will save you some bucks)
Ken, if you're coming to that Atlanta Games thing, then I'll definitely go to it. I was kind of thinking about going anyway since I miss basically paying money to do something I do every week anyway BUT IN A HOTEL MEETING ROOM.
Essen Spiel in Oct. - Might be able to make this again.
ConsimWorld Expo - Tempe AZ, is only a 6 hour drive from my house. If the last week in May is clear I think this is a real possibility. Six days to get my wargame groove on sounds like a winner.
