Guess somebody forgot to tell the blogger that BATTLELORE was sold off...

Any time I see a skeleton (or skull) accompanied by the phrase "bad to the bone", I die a little inside.

Yeah, that and cheesy hair design store names "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow". :S

But I should have realized that this might just be an expansion to Pirate's Cove. DOW loves their expansions...

Pirate's cove expansions - DOW's future is looking bright. Its too bad, they had great production quality, even though a lot of their games sucked.

Maybe it's either PIRATES COVE: THE DICE GAME or TICKET TO RIDE: PIRATES COVE EDITION.

Or maybe it's the death-rattle of a company that jumped the shark a long, long time ago.

Frankly, they're doing pretty well considering no one shows up for work each day.

Sadly, that would actually work with the "skeleton/bones" allusion.

I place my wager on a new game. But I don't think anything DOW will ever publish will be "bad to the bone. "Family friendly to the bone," yes.

Well, they've since added "Wizards: Light My Fire" and "Amazons: Come and Get Some". The Cheesy Cliche Fantasy Game??

You aren't serious. All I can think of is Jim Morrison in a wizard hat and "come get some" sounds like the catch phrase for a pro wrestler or something, not a game about amazons.

I'm thinking a CCG. They're new, they're trendy, they're . . . never mind.

If you ignore the captions, which could just be part of the advertisements, you simply have Skeletons, Wizards, and Amazons. Judging by the artwork and their reputation I'm guessing it'll be more family-ish than Ameritrashy. Although I think Skeletons and Amazons implies warfare or a card game. Maybe DoW is looking to replace BattleLore in their catalog, but not C&C again since that didn't work out for them too well and they still have M44.

Skeletons, wizards, amazons, humans, orcs, elves = a remake of Wizard Kings?

Or I guess the rumor now is a retheme of Vinci. Well, reagrdless, so much for a new original title...

Lawl.

Or maybe it's that re-make of Clout: Fantasy that everyone has been clamoring for?
