Dallas Games Marathon is starting up again for the new year. It's a 3-day monthly event held at a private venue (a software firm's large storeroom). Admission cost covers some pretty good snacks, LoTech Games is the games vendor for Saturday, there's an open flea market to buy and sell games (I bought SW Queens Gambit new in shrink there for $70), clean, good tables and chairs. The mix of games played runs the full spectrum; wargamers, ATers, euros, and that strange breed that you'll see playing Brass in the morning and Fury of Dracula at night. The doors stay open late, it's rare that everyone is out by 2 am.
I know there's Texans (I'm not a Texan I just live here) using this site and DGM is a cool gig, the best I've found here. Like I said it's monthly so any gamers in the DFW area when it's running should check it out.
