Very nice map, and great idea. I had no idea it existed, maybe it can be featured more prominently.

I may be in CA on business in the last week of October...not sure where, but it'll be either Irvine (oh god no), Costa Mesa, or Carlsbad. They weren't clear.

But anyway, if any of you guys are around there and I have a chance maybe we can do a F:AT West Coast meetup.

One of my favorite restaurants is in Irvine. Aren't you a vegisomthing too Michael? Wheel of Life, amazing amazing all vegan place.

Though, one of my other favorite places is the Atlanta Soul Veg so maybe you're spoiled.

I'm pissed about food tonight because one of my favorite quasi-local places was recently bought by new people and when we went today I found out it's really not so good anymore. And NYC still doesn't have a Soul Veg.

Yeah, but NYC has all the good food in the world! And Mamoun's...sweet, sweet Mamoun's...

Soul Veg is Ok, I really prefer more traditionally prepares soul food sans meat...I'm lacto-ovo, so I'll take real mac and cheese over a soy substitute. There was a place here that a former cook at Soul Veg opened called Power Plant...their fried 'chicken', collards, and mashed potatoes was one of the best meals I've ever had. But they were business idiots and it closed within six months.

The Grit in Athens is GA's best vegetarian joint.

Last time I was in Irvine, I didn't really get to eat around much except fir this incredible Taiwanese bakery, I think it was called 85 Degrees.

Just added myself to the map down San Diego way. We usually get together on Thursday nights for RPGs with the odd weekend gamesday. If you ever find yourself staggering north out of TJ with a fresh case of the herpes and a neck tattoo I can set up something... 'special.'
