Austin F:AT'ers was created by Chapel
For the few Austinites and surrounding folks here on the fort, I wanted to let you know of a calender of events in Austin that targets things more on the geeky side.

sites.google.com/site/nerdwaterloo/

It'll be at www.nerdwaterloo.com when I finally get the DNS to work.

If nothing else it might be a handy calender to follow. And if you have anything you like to add to the calender, just ping me a note, or I can add you to the list of contributors. I could always use the help. It's in Google Calenders.

Thanks!

How is the Austin Board Game Bash on Aug 13? Open gaming? Tournaments?

Not sure. This is the first year they are having it. Here is the link to the website:

www.boardgamebash.com/

But it pretty much says everything the calender listing does. I am assuming it'll be open gaming. I doubt they would have tourneys, but who knows.

F:AT's Jack Hooligan/Jeff White is running the Hammer tournament.

Indeed.
fortressat.com/index.php/forum/24-social...urnament-at-the-abgb

(Am I the only one who reads the F:AT forums by recent topics to catch all the threads/stuff going on?)

Also, I know some other dude was contacting Jonathan (con organizer) about running something, but I'm not sure of it's status.

Being 'The Bash', I've tried to talk another guy to run a Wrasslin' tourney to close out the con, sort of like the WBC does with Slapshot. I'm not sure how keen he is on heading up a tournament though. Weeks, I recall you being a fan. Up for ring announcing some Wrasslin'?

I can bring Wrasslin', but don't know it well enough to run anything.

Heck yeah! I'm thinking October time line, as the weather will be MUCH nicer. I'll send feelers out by the end of August for an interest count.
