A friend played it and thought it was a nightmare of chits and administration. Not the good kind of horror game nightmare either.

The reviewer kept harping on that board being too big; yet he refused the simple fix of….rotating it so it would fit ? That alone makes me skeptical of his play length claims if he’s that stupid/stubborn .

I'm not going to pull my copy out. But it looks like there's plenty of edge space on that board to put card decks and/or token piles. The dead space on game boards isn't some sacred thing, even if it has filler artwork.

I actually stumbled into a game of PLUM ISLAND HORROR yesterday. More in the What Games have you been playing thread. But footprint wise, its fairly manageable. We set it up and outside the board , you need space for an 8.5x 11 turn/VP/Biohazard tracker, and about a half dozen cups for frequently used tokens. Each faction has a half page sized faction sheet.
