Yeah, he was the leader of Kanjiklub. Actually I think a couple of the guys from THE RAID were in the gang that confronted Solo.

OMG it's like they went out of their way to make the Goblin king as grotesque as possible.

Last few movies I saw-

Logan - was not what I was expecting but better than his other stand alone films.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - pretty good but the formula is wearing a little thin

Lego Batman - should have loved it, and thought it was OK. Saw it in the theater with my kids, first movie in a while that I thought was too long.

Just watched The Raid 2. While it picks up right where the first movie left off, that's where the "sequel" aspects end. There is sort of a raid in this film, but not really. It is definitely one of the most violent films I've ever seen, and much cringing ensued. Overall good, but not nearly as good as the first.

Baby Driver is full of awesome scenes and moments. It includes ample amounts of both rock and roll.

It's a bad sign if you're thinking that halfway through the second film.

I was thinking it halfway through the first one.

Same. I still fail to see what was so awesome about the first one and have no real interest in seeing the second. Maudlin plot, one-dimensional characters (Ever wonder why the favorite character is the CGI tree?), rote dialogue, and SFX that weren't much different from any number of other films. Yay?

I found the characters mildly amusing, but the action scenes were long and not that interesting. Some of the music was great, and some of it seemed deliberately horrible.

The nice thing about Guardians is the general lighthearted tone. It can be nice to not always have a superhero movie be grimdark.

I've seen, in more than one place, that GotG 2's theme is 'the perils of toxic masculinity'. I must've seen a different movie, because I thought I saw themes about families biological and situational (and not in a subtle way either), but not the evils of masculinity.

ETA: Maybe we can hook the writers of that notion up with our SJW haters. Ants vs. scorpion, who ya' got? :)

Totally fair. I know many people who commented on the fact that it was just a "fun" movie. Fine by me. I just found the lack of real interest/characters/story took away a lot of the "fun" on my end. But then, I'm kind of a movie snob, so...

The casting is very sharp in the GoG films.

With the exception of Starlord, I found all the characters to be very shallow. I guess that could seem fun, like a comedic call-back in a standup routine.

Look at the murderous raccoon! Fun!
Groot keeps saying Groot! Fun!
Drax takes everything literally! Fun!
Gamora is very blunt! Fun!
