I really enjoy Talisman + Reaper, but wondering do I need a small expansions or any of the corner boards...

Thanks for the hot tip y'all. I've been mostly out of gaming for this year, though did pick up the new WHQ game, and would seriously be kicking myself if I missed out on the card game.

Didn't like WHQ:ACG. If felt unfairly difficult with not very many hard decisions and the character advancement was not satisfying.

Kind of surprised to see that DungeonQuest is not on the list...perhaps it was an oversight in the press release.

I just gave away BB:TM...but this stupid announcement has me wondering if I should get it again.

It's a great game, but despite including a lot of BB trappings it didn't feel like BB. I'd rather play BB.

Conversely, SH:DA (which, if you can't tell I have a crush on) feels like SH.

I'm thankful I snagged the WHQ POD expansions as soon as they came out, and I'm also thankful I got the Diskwars expansions recently in anticipation of this announcement.

But most of all I'm thankful for my Secret Satan who bought me all of my missing Talisman expansions this past year. It's probably the definitive version of the game, and a complete set will be something special to have when all is said and done.

I have about everything I would want out of the FFG/GW relationship, but I'm sad to see it go. Talisman and Fury of Dracula have ended up being formative games for me.

If one were to pick up Talisman at this point, what beyond the base game is most desirable?

Reaper is probably the only ESSENTIAL one, but a lot of the later period expansions were actually really good. I liked The Firelands, The Harbinger, and The Cataclysm a lot.

So how can I cash in on the fear and anxiety this separation will create? If I buy everything on this list and flip it in a year will I need a wheelbarrow to carry my piles of money around?
